NANI: PORTUGAL CAN WIN THE EUROS TITLE AGAIN

Former Manchester United and Portugal winger Luis Nani has backed the players representing his country at the 2020 Euros competition to emerge winners of the title, citing that they have what it takes and that they only need to believe in themselves. Nani was a part of the Portugal squad that won the 2016 edition of the competition and he has said that it is not impossible to win the trophy again. Portugal’s Euros 2016 win means that they are the current holders of the title and after already qualifying for the last-16 of this year’s edition, they now have the chance to win the title back-to-back.

Speaking ahead of the country’s last-16 tie, Nani was giving his assessment of the current squad, stating that the team is already filled with a lot of talented set of players and that they are lucky to have the legendary Cristiano Ronaldo in the team. Nani mentioned the likes of Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes, Atletico Madrid’s Joao Felix, Lille midfielder Renato Sanches, and of course, Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo as some of the country’s best players who have what it takes to lead the team to victory.

NANI: GREENWOOD IS A VERY SPECIAL PLAYER

There is a lot of hype currently surrounding Manchester United’s teenage sensation Mason Greenwood, and he has deserved every bit of the praises he has been getting since making his debut for the club. The youngster, who rose through the ranks at the club from their youth academy, has been a revelation since his very first game for the Red Devils and he has not looked back since then.

The academy graduate was the club’s star performer during their last season’s Europa League campaign and scored a coi9oe of goals for the side as well. He has been equally brilliant this season and has excelled spectacularly whenever he has played games. Greenwood recently recorded his 100th appearance for Manchester United and judging by the fact that he’s still a teenager, it is evident to see how good a player he has been to have played as many as 100 matches for the club.

NANI – UNITED GETTING CLOSER TO WINNING PL

Former Manchester United winger Luis Nani has revealed that he believes his former club have continued to move closer towards winning the league title after close to 8 years since the last time they last clinched the league crown. The Red Devils last won the division’s title in 2013, which happens to be the last time legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson was in charge of the club.

Since then, they have toiled hard and have not been able to reach the apex of the league, losing the league title to Chelsea, Leicester City, Liverpool, and Manchester City within that period. There have also been appointments of several managers such as David Moyes, Louis Van Gaal, and José Mourinho as they kept on searching for a head coach that would propel them to a league title win, but neither of those managers was able to help achieve that goal.

Nani And Ferdinand Urge United To Sign PSG Forward This Summer

Former Manchester United Players Luis Nani and Rio Ferdinand have both urged the club to complete the signing of Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappé when the summer transfer window permits for business transactions later this year. There’s no telling why both players think the French club would be interested in letting such an important player leave the club but it has not stopped them from asking the United board to try and sign the player in the summer.

Every football fan knows how almost impossible it would be for Manchester United to prise away the France international attacker from PSG this summer given how much of an important player he is to the Parisians. PSG have high ambitions to win the UEFA Champions League trophy and are appearing more ready than ever currently and it would be insane of them to let go of one of the key players they have that can help them achieve that feat.

NANI REVEALS REASONS FOR UNITED TRANSFER

Orlando City attacker Luis Nani has revealed why he signed for Manchester United over a decade ago. Luis Nani left Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon to sign for Manchester United in 2007. He spoke to Utd Unscripted about his time as a Manchester United player and what informed him to opt for the Red Devils ahead of the other clubs interested in his services. Luis Nani told Utd Unscripted that a lot of clubs wanted to sign him when he made a breakthrough in his football career at Sporting Lisbon and that he’s delighted that he listened to the advice from his agent to sign for Manchester United.

Luis Nani went on to give the three reasons that made him sign for Manchester United in the summer of 2007. According to him, Portuguese national team colleague Cristiano Ronaldo was a major reason behind his transfer to Manchester United. Continue reading

UNITED TRANSFER WAS MY DESTINY – NANI

 

Luis Nani always knew that he would play for Premier League giants Manchester United. The Portuguese forward made this known on the Manchester United podcast when he was featured earlier this year as the Orlando City player disclosed that he had always felt an unexplained connection with the 13-time Premier League winners. Luis Nani had a lot of suitors to pick from when he wanted to leave Sporting Lisbon in 2007 and his transfer to Manchester United for him once the Red Devils were amongst the clubs that wanted to sign him. Luis Nani joined Manchester United from Sporting Lisbon in a €25m deal.


Luis Nani was at Manchester United as a young visitor years before his move to the club. His love for Manchester United grew when the club won an unprecedented treble at the end of the 1998/99 season as he watched the club clinch the Champions League title ahead of Bayern Munich in their final clash at the Nou Camp in 1999 to complete the treble. By then, the Red Devils had already wrapped up the Premier League title and the FA Cup title.

Ex-Premier League star Luis Naniopted for three players from Manchester United when asked to pick his five-a-side line-up. His choice of three Manchester United stars is not surprising as he spent eight years at Old Trafford following his transfer from Sporting Lisbon of Portugal in a deal reported to be around €25m.

MAN UTD SUBMIT AUDACIOUS BID FOR BARCA STAR

 

According to latest reports from Spain, Manchester United have failed with a €100m bid for teenage sensation Ansu Fati. It was reported that Old Trafford had tabled a bid for the Spanish youngster, but it was promptly rejected by Barcelona president Josep Bartomeu.


It is evident like many other clubs that the Blaugrana are facing financial troubles with their bloated wage bill leading to friction between the players and club some months back. Although the players agreed to a 70% wage cut there are reports that the loss of finances due to the pandemic could lead to massive sales in the summer.
