Former Manchester United winger Luis Nani has revealed that he believes his former club have continued to move closer towards winning the league title after close to 8 years since the last time they last clinched the league crown. The Red Devils last won the division’s title in 2013, which happens to be the last time legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson was in charge of the club.

Since then, they have toiled hard and have not been able to reach the apex of the league, losing the league title to Chelsea, Leicester City, Liverpool, and Manchester City within that period. There have also been appointments of several managers such as David Moyes, Louis Van Gaal, and José Mourinho as they kept on searching for a head coach that would propel them to a league title win, but neither of those managers was able to help achieve that goal.

Man United would face Juventus, who now have Cristiano Ronaldo in their ranks, Valencia and young Boys. Both continental giants are expected to qualify from the group. The only issue is who would top the group and likely face a ‘smaller’ team in the next stage.
