ORLANDO CITY STRIKER TALKS UP NEW SIGNING

Orlando City have been underwhelming in some seasons but have generally got it right with their Designated Players. Brazilian star Kaka had a decent spell at the club as a Designated Player.

The offseason saw the club sign former Manchester United forward Nani as their designated player and the Portuguese has shown his quality despite not scoring for his new club.

Nani has been involved in 50 percent of the goals scored by Orlando City this season providing three assists in the league. he has featured in five games for his new club meaning that he has averaged an assist every two matches which is not a bad return.

Last Sunday Nani faced a reunion with his former United teammate Wayne Rooney as Orlando City hosted DC United. the game ended in a defeat for the home side but Nani was involved in the play for the opening goal as he found Chris Mueller who set up Dwyer for the goal.

Orlando City forward Dom Dwyer believes that it is only a matter of time for the player to adapt to the league. Dwyer revealed that the Portugal International has the quality to succeed in the team as he showcases it during training sessions.

Nani has captained the team in his last four matches and played for 78 minutes in the defeat to DC United. his former teammate Wayne Rooney was sensational in the game as he scored an excellent freekick to open the scoring and made an assist for the second goal.

Rooney revealed after the game that he spoke to Nani wishing him luck in his future endeavours in the league. the DC United captain was adamant that Nani would rediscover his best form in the coming weeks as he gets used to the league.
