SPECULATION

Nani recently entered speculation about his future by signing a five-year contract with Manchester United, but it seems that his future is still not clear after the latest comments from David Moyes.

The United manager said to the club’s official website that Nani is a player capable of delivering more to the club. The midfielder arrived at Old Trafford with a reputation for being the next Cristiano Ronaldo, but he has been very inconsistent since the move to United. He is now one of the experienced members of the squad and Moyes has said that he should reflect the status on the pitch.

Nani recently played the full 90 minutes in Manchester United’s 5-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen, which was one of the most impressive wins under Moyes. Nani also scored his first goal of the season in this match. Moyes said after the match that Nani should consider contributing more to the team being a full international for the Portugal national team. He has said that Nani has all the skills to be a success in the Premier league, but he needs to be more consistent with his quality.

Nani moved to Old Trafford back in 2007 and he has so far made 138 appearances for the Red Devils.

“I think what I’ve seen from Nani is someone who is a talented player, a Portuguese international, and I hope we can try to get him to show that more often. I thought there were moments when he ran the ball well for us in midweek and he scored a really good goal at the end. Look, what I’ve found is he works hard enough at his game. He is happy to do all the leg work and the biggest thing is he has brilliant ability to score,” said Moyes.
